Aspettiamo Farnborough e poi vediamo.

PHILIPPINE AIRLINES ORDINA 10 ULTERIORI A330

SIA orders five A380s and 20 A350s, transfers 787s to Scoot
By: ANDREW DOYLE
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is ordering five additional Airbus A380s and 20 more A350s to renew and expand its fleet. The deal with the European airframer is valued at $7.5 billion based on list prices, and deliveries will begin in 2017.
In a related move, SIA's low-cost longhaul subsidiary Scoot will take over the parent carrier's existing order for 20 Boeing 787s.
SIA already operates 19 A380s and previously placed a firm order for 20 A350-900s for delivery from 2015. The carrier says the five newly-ordered A380s will be equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, in common with its in-service fleet.
SIA has ordered five additional Airbus A380s and 20 more A350s to renew and expand its fleet
R-R's Trent XWB is the sole engine option for the A350.
Scoot says an engine selection for its 787s will be made "at a later date". The twinjets will be used to replace Scoot's four 777-200s and "facilitate the airline's ongoing expansion".
SIA's order was for stretched 787-9s, but Scoot's statement did not specify which version of the twinjet will be taken by the subsidiary carrier.

Etihad Airways orders two more A330 passenger aircraft
30 OCTOBER 2012
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates has signed a firm order for two additional A330-200 passenger aircraft as part of the carrier’s continued growth plans.
These newly ordered aircraft, like Etihad’s current A330 fleet, will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines. Etihad Airways has also converted seven of its previously ordered A320s to the larger and increasingly popular A321 model.
Etihad Airways President and Chief Executive Officer, James Hogan said: “The reliable and highly versatile Airbus A330-200 has been an integral part of our global passenger and cargo success. As our operations and network continue to grow in scale, we feel the A330-200 is the right fleet type to expand with. Our decision to convert seven of our A320s on order into A321s reflects the increasingly strong demand we are seeing across our different routes and we look forward to taking delivery of our first in November 2013.”
“Winning a fifth repeat order from Etihad for A330s is without a doubt a strong endorsement for the aircraft’s unique combination of unbeatable economics, versatility and fuel efficiency,” said John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers. “In response to the continuing strong demand, we’re making the A330 better and better, with for example new higher weight variants which offer our customers more payload-range capability with the same high operational reliability.”
The A330 Family, which spans 250 to 300 seats, and includes Freighter, VIP, and Military Transport/Tanker variants, has now attracted more than 1,200 orders and around 900 aircraft are flying with over 90 operators worldwide. Ever since the original version of the A330-300 entered service, the hallmark has been its very efficient operating economics and benchmark reliability above 99 percent.

Latin American airlines will require more than 2,100 new aircraft in next 20 years
Region’s airlines to benefit from second highest traffic growth in the world
16 NOVEMBER 2012 PRESS RELEASE
According to the recently released Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF), Latin American airlines will require 2,120 new aircraft between today and 2031, including 1,660 single-aisle, 420 twin-aisle and 40 very large aircraft estimated at $242 billion. Globally, by 2031 some 28,200 new aircraft valued at $4 trillion will be required to satisfy future robust market demand.
With GDP currently growing above the world average, socio-economic indicators predict Latin America’s middle class will double between 2012 and 2031. Additionally, Latin America has become the second most urbanised region worldwide after North America, and by 2031, 10 out of the 92 mega-cities with more than 10,000 daily long-haul passengers will be in the region.
As a result of this region’s dynamic economic growth, Latin America’s air traffic will rise 5.3 percent per year over the next 20 years, well above the world average of 4.7 percent. Benefiting from this, the region's airlines will grow their own traffic by almost 6 percent per year, the second highest growth globally, only exceeded by those airlines based in the Middle East. Additionally, Latin American airlines’ market share on long-haul routes increased by 8 percent between 2005 and 2011, to reach 21 percent today, showing that they have significant development potential for intercontinental networks.
Increased aircraft demand is also leading Latin American airlines to ordering larger aircraft. Between 2000 and 2012, average aircraft seat capacity increased by more than 13 percent, while the average age of Latin America’s fleet in service decreased below the world average to 10 years of age.
“The Latin American market has become smarter, seeking out highly-efficient, cost-effective and versatile aircraft,” said Rafael Alonso, Executive Vice President of Airbus for Latin America and the Caribbean. “Airbus is perfectly positioned to serve the market’s requirements and future aviation demand with its A320, A330 and A350 Families, as well as the A380.”
Another important trend in Latin America is the rise of low cost carriers throughout the region. Brazil and Mexico have become leaders of the low-cost-carrier segment in the region, with the two countries combined contributing to 95 percent of the market.
With more than 700 aircraft sold and a backlog of almost 350, over 450 Airbus aircraft are in operation throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. In the last 10 years, Airbus has tripled its in-service fleet, while delivering more than 60 percent of all aircraft operating in the region.

AirAsia orders 100 Airbus jets including 64 A320neos
Budget carrier AirAsia has ordered another 64 Airbus A320neos as well as a further 36 baseline A320s.
The deal confirms AirAsia as the undisclosed customer behind a deal for 100 A320s booked in November.
AirAsia had previously indicated that it was negotiating for 100 jets but that it had opted against a high-density Bombardier CSeries.
No delivery dates have been disclosed for the AirAsia jets, nor has an engine selection been given.
It takes AirAsia's overall Airbus orders to 264 A320neos and 211 regular A320s.
Airbus values the agreement, unveiled during an event at its UK plant at Broughton, at $9.4 billion at catalogue prices.

Re: Nuovi ordini per Airbus
EDIT: Sorry, la notizia era già stata postata..Pegasus places firm order for 75 A320-family neos
Pegasus Airlines has placed a firm order for 75 Airbus A320-family neos, with options for a further 25 units.
The Turkish carrier signed for 58 A320neos and 17 A321neos at a press conference in Istanbul on 18 December. The aircraft have a list value of $12 billion.
"It is with great pride that we are placing the biggest order in the history of Turkish civil aviation with Airbus for up to 100 A320neo family aircraft," said Pegasus chairman Ali Sabanci.
The A320neos will be configured with 180 seats, while the A321neos will have a 220-seat configuration.
Christopher Buckley, Airbus executive vice-president Europe and Asia-Pacific, said negotiations between the two parties took more than 10 years, with the 100-aircraft deal marking the third attempt at finalising a contract.
Pegasus currently operates a fleet of 37 Boeing 737-800s and two 737-400s, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.
