Question di "marketing"?
Boh...in effetti Airbus Military non sarebbe stato male

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - European aerospace group EADS (EAD.PA) plans to tear up its last remaining national symbols by dropping the logos of its French and German founders from a new corporate identity, people familiar with the matter said.
The 10th anniversary-year redesign, kept under close wraps before next week's release, symbolizes efforts under Chief Executive Louis Gallois to banish nationalism from a group often rocked by Franco-German in-fighting since its creation in 2000.
Gallois declined to comment on the redesign when he appeared at the annual Reuters Aerospace and Defense Summit in Washington this week.
But he stressed that the company, responsible for key European symbols such as the Airbus A380 superjumbo and the Ariane space rocket, had finally come of age after birth pangs that have worried its founder nations and often roiled its shares.
"In the last few years we have been able to create a much more serene climate inside the company," Gallois told Reuters.
"The famous Franco-German face-to-face (confrontation) in EADS is no longer an issue for us, at least at the top level."
The redesign follows discussions between divisions such as Airbus, whose circular logo is seen worldwide, and EADS, which enjoys less recognition than either its main units or its chief competitor Boeing Co (BA.N).
The company's image is seen as a sensitive subject since it in some ways measures the success of Europe's efforts to create an industrial identity to mirror the creation of the euro currency.
The current logo -- itself a result of tough negotiations when EADS was set up -- includes a star and swooshing double-arrow inherited from EADS's founders: aerospace firms DASA of Germany and Aerospatiale-Matra of France, respectively.
Unveiled by French and German leaders in 1999, the design had never sat well with Spain, whose aerospace firm CASA joined the group afterward without any re-tweaking of the brand.
These symbols will be replaced by a logo based on the letters "EADS," but each unit will keep its own identity.
The redesign's cost has not been disclosed, but officials stressed it would be introduced over time and would cost less than renaming the company, which will continue to be called EADS -- short for European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co.
An EADS spokesman declined to comment.
INTERNAL RIFT 'FINISHED'
EADS took control of Airbus when it was formed from a merger of French, German and Spanish aerospace interests in 2000. Other businesses include Eurocopter, the world's largest civil helicopter maker, and satellites, missiles and combat jets.
In 2006, the group was plunged into turmoil over delays to the A380 superjumbo, which wiped a quarter off its stock price.
A production crisis was blamed on the failure of French and German factories to use the same software. Internal tensions in turn soured political relations between Paris and Berlin.
Healing those wounds was complicated by rivalries not only across borders but between EADS and its largest division.
"When I arrived in EADS in 2006, EADS had no access to the finances of Airbus (which was) saying 'take the figures and you can consolidate those.' All that is finished," said Gallois, 66, a former state industry chief who combines humor and steely will to tackle unions, governments and managers with big egos.
Critics say peace was bought at the cost of dynamism, with EADS uncertain how to spend a 9 billion-euro ($11.45 billion) surplus. Gallois said that he would rather have too much cash than too little, and that EADS was ready for a 1 billion euro purchase.
The corporate redesign coincides with the end of a lengthy search for an identity for the EADS defense and security unit.
After abandoning the provisional name DESEC, the division plans to call itself Cassidian, after a five-star solar system.
