"On Jan 12th 2021 the Ministry reported the aircraft had last undergone examination for airworthiness in November 2020 and had received a certificate of airworthiness until Dec 17th 2021 having met all conditions of airworthiness. The Ministry also followed up with Airworthiness Directive AD 2020-14-03 released by the FAA on July 24th 2020 regarding fatigue cracking on the left nacelle support overwing fitting flange fastener hole, and ensured within the November 2020 examination that this AD had been followed. The Ministry stated: "it was confirmed that the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 aircraft was in an airworthy condition before flying".
In the evening of Jan 12th 2021 the Ministry of Transport reported one of the black boxes was recovered by Navy divers and taken ashore. The black box was subsequently identified as the flight data recorder. The read out of the FDR is expected to take between 2 and 5 days".

"On Jan 15th 2021 the Indonesian Navy reported that the pinger of the CVR and parts of the housing were found and recovered, however, the CVR's memory unit is still missing. The search for the memory unit is still ongoing.
On Jan 17th 2021 the Navy reported that the remotely controlled vehicle (ROV) has again been deployed to search for the memory unit of the CVR, which is suspected to be buried underneath other debris of the aircraft.
On Jan 17th 2021 Basarnas explained the search for the CVR has become much more difficult now, as no pinger signal is available anymore to trace the memory unit. Visual contact with the box needs to be established, which has more chances to happen during the night when the diving team is reduced and therefore clearer water conditions exist at the sea floor. The ROV can thus be best used during the night".

Rilasciato il Preliminary Report:
http://knkt.dephub.go.id/knkt/ntsc_avia ... Report.pdf
Riassunto anche qui:
http://avherald.com/h?article=4e18553c/0000&opt=0
"After the aircraft climbed past 8,150 feet, the thrust lever position of the left engine started reducing, while the thrust lever position of the right engine remained. The FDR data also recorded the left engine (N1) was decreasing whereas the right engine N1 remained"....
...."The FDR data recorded that when the aircraft’s altitude was about 10,600 feet the aircraft began turning to the left. The thrust lever position of the left engine continued decreasing while the thrust lever position of the right engine remained"....
...."The highest aircraft altitude recorded in the FDR was about 10,900 feet, thereafter the aircraft started its descent. The AP system then disengaged with a recorded heading of 016°, the pitch angle was 4.5° nose up, and the aircraft continued to roll to the left to more than 45°. The thrust lever position of the left engine continued decreasing while the right engine thrust lever remained"....
...."About 5 seconds after the aircraft started its descent, the FDR data recorded the autothrottle (A/T) system disengaged and the pitch angle was more than 10° nose down".

"On Apr 13th 2021 the KNKT announced, that the CVR had been downloaded. Two hours of recordings were retrieved including the accident flight. The KNKT stated: "NTSC managed to download all 4 channels from CVR, but channel 4 on CVR was disrupted. However, based on the existing records, it has added important data for the investigation which results will be presented in the final report".

https://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guid ... enDocument
http://avherald.com/h?article=4e18553c/0002&opt=0
FAA precisa: "At this time, the preliminary data of the ongoing accident investigation shows that it is highly unlikely that the accident resulted from the latent failure of the flap synchro wire. However, the FAA has determined that the unsafe condition identified in this AD could exist or develop in Model 737-300, - 400, and -500 series airplanes, and that this AD is therefore necessary to address the identified unsafe condition".
