Position Description
Perform IT Technician role to Boeing International customers including technical and administrative support of desktop, server, and network. Implement technical solutions to customer desktop, server and network needs. Perform problem isolation and resolution for user IT issues. Understand international technical issues and initiate action as appropriate. Provide testing and certification of new IT products and services as appropriate. Serve as consultant to business partners to resolve complex international IT problems and issues. Represent organization in technical forums and projects. Provide technical computing and telecommunications training and mentoring to Boeing IT Technicians and customers. Ensure technical procedures are documented and deployed across region. Provide Interface with Boeing International business leaders and employees for the delivery of IT and telecommunications products and services. Perform liaison role with Boeing IT Services, peer organizations, and customer IS focal organizations to resolve issues.
This job may be level E2 or E3 and will determined by the level of experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, in relation to the scope and responsibility of the position.

Competencies:
Ability to analyze, select, build, assemble, test, certify, evaluate, prepare for deployment, deploy (install), manage and maintain desktop/server delivery systems, subsystems, and components.
Ability to communicate with and support teammates, customers, and suppliers in a professional manner
Demonstrate proficiency in problem analysis techniques and project management.
Excellent English oral and written communications skills
Proficiency in the use of standard applicable computing disciplines including change, configuration, problem, performance, and operational management
Demonstrate superior knowledge of desktop computing systems including operating systems, networks, hardware, equipment, software packages and utilities, computer control languages and commands

Typical Education/Experience
Prefer advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Technical certification desired. 8 or more years of experience in a customer support role in an IT or telecommunications profession.
