Aeroflot’s new low-cost (LCC) subsidiary Dobrolet Airline has received its air operator’s certificate (AOC) and plans to launch operations in June, according to Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Saveliev. Dobrolet has two Boeing 737-800s. Aeroflot also plans to transfer one Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) to the subsidiary. By the end of the year, the LCC plans to increase its fleet to eight aircraft. The carrier will launch flights from Moscow to Saint Petersburg, Samara, Ufa, Perm and Yekaterinburg. The new LCC was registered at the end of 2013. The carrier unveiled the livery of its first Boeing 737-800 in April.
