Non è un caso se i russi proseguono lanci sperimentali. Gli USA spendono in armi sette volte quello che spende la Russia. Con i contratti in armi con Obama, l'Arabia Saudita ha speso più dei russi nel 2014. Nel 2006 gli americani dissero di aver accantonato il Prompt Global Strike a favore di progetti come lo scudo antimissile europeo, (percepito dai russi come ugualmente minaccioso), cosa che non era vera. La Russia si è rimessa anche a testare i treni lanciamissili balistici intercontinentali, capaci di confondersi in mezzo ai treni normali e missili balistici come il Sarmat, capaci di avere traiettorie orbitali passanti dal polo sud, in grado quindi di bypassare le difese antimissile di Canada e USA nell'Artico.

L' India procede nella messa a punto del missile balistico a lunga gittata Agni-V ..... in grado di colpire l' intero territorio cinese .....
Viene definito ICBM anche se non è in grado di raggiungere effettivamente portate intercontinentali .....

Il nome della nuova portaerei dovrebbe essere Shandong (Montagna dell'Est), dalla omonima penisola, che separa il Mar Giallo dal Mar di Bo Hai, praticamente il "golfo" di Pechino, dove sfocia il Fiume Giallo. La vicinanza di Dalian con la Corea del Nord forse non è un caso. Sono pianificate diverse altre portaerei, non è chiaro se simili, o molto differenti da questa.

Russian Fighter Intercepts B-52 for the Second Time in a Week .....

A Russian Su-27 Flanker intercepted a B-52 during a flight over the Baltic Sea, marking the second time in a week a Russian fighter intercepted a Stratofortress.
The Friday intercept, which happened as reporters and photographers were flying on board a KC-135 over the B-52 as part of Exercise Baltic Operations, was completely safe and relatively ordinary, Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. Jeff Davis.
On June 6 a Su-27 intercepted another B-52 and escorted it away from the Russian border, the Russian ministry of defense said.
Both intercepts happened over international waters.
B-52H (*) and B-1B bombers are in Europe to participate in joint exercises with NATO partner nations.
Three Stratofortresses and 800 airmen from Air Force Global Strike Command arrived at RAF Fairford, U.K., on June 5 to participate in several exercises in the region.
On June 8, an unspecified number of US Strategic Command B-1Bs from Ellsworth AFB, S.D., joined the B-52s for Saber Strike - a month-long US Army-Europe-led exercise held at locations in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
The B-1s will also participate in BALTOPS, which demonstrates NATO’s ability to defend the Baltic Sea region.
Participating partners include Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Two B-1B bombers flew a nighttime training mission over the East China Sea in coordination with Japanese forces on July 6.
The mission marked the first time B-1s from US Pacific Command have conducted training with Japanese fighter aircraft at night, according to a Pacific Air Forces release.
The bombers, assigned to the 9th Expeditionary Squadron, launched their mission from Andersen AFB, Guam.
The Lancers were deployed from Dyess AFB, Texas, as part of the continuous bomber presence (CBP) in the Pacific region.
The goal of the CBP mission is “showcasing a capability to our allies and partners as well as to those who might wish us harm,” Brig. Gen. Stephen Williams told Air Force Magazine shortly before the flight.

Hawaii Campaign Aimed at Potential North Korean Missile Attack .....

The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency has begun a new campaign to help residents prepare for the possibility of a North Korean nuclear missile attack on the state, Hawaii News Now reported (*).
Though the agency said the threat of such an attack likely is low, it outlined a set of disaster response plans for what it considers a worst-case scenario - a 15-kiloton nuclear warhead exploding 1,000 feet above Honolulu.
In that eventuality, the core message to the public would be, "Get inside, stay inside, and stay tuned.”
In November, the state will also start testing a new emergency siren that would be used to alert the public in the case of a missile attack.
The agency said it would take about 20 minutes for an ICBM to travel from North Korea to Hawaii, and the public would have only eight to 12 minutes notice before detonation.
"There is clear evidence that [North Korea] is trying to develop ballistic missiles that could conceivably one day reach our state," agency administrator Vern Miyagi told HNN.
“Therefore, we cannot wait to begin our public information campaign to ensure that Hawaii residents will know what to do if such an event occurs.”
On July 4, North Korea successfully tested an ICBM for the first time.

Barguzin, the project to develop a rail-mobile ICBM, appears to have been cancelled again - according to a source in the defense industry, quoted in the Russian press, the program has been closed, "at least for the time being."
This is not the first time the program was said to be cancelled, only to be resurrected.
