Un 'Avanti II' per le Forze Aeree Tailandesi .....

The Royal Thai Air Force’s deputy chief of air staff, Air Chief Marshal Sutthiphan Kritsanakhup and Piaggio Aero Industries’ government sales director Francescomaria Tuccillo on 29 September reached an agreement in Rome for the delivery of one P180 Avanti II in a new photographic reconnaissance configuration.

Avanti EVO ..... imminente la prima consegna nel Regno Unito .....

Zenith Aviation, the UK launch customer and distributor for the Piaggio Avanti Evo, is preparing to take delivery of its first aircraft in early December and hopes to begin exercising its options for the twin-engined turboprop by the end of September.
“We will be taking serial number seven,” says Zenith managing director Stuart Mulholland.
“It will be the first aircraft to roll off the assembly line at Villanova d’Albenga.”

Un carrello tutto italiano per l' Avanti Evo .....

Piaggio Aerospace has secured European and US certification for the new landing gear on its Avanti Evo twin-engined turboprop, following an intensive flight-test programme.
The system, designed and manufactured by Italian company Magnaghi, replaces the Dowty landing gear that has been a feature on all Avanti models – including the first Evo delivered in April to Greece’s Superior Air – since the Piaggio P180 programme was launched in the mid-1980s.

Leggevo su rid che la versione MPA ha fatto il roll out, c'era anche una foto, l'apertura alare é notevolmente aumentata così come quella dei piani anteriori..i motori sono un po' potenziati ed é aumentata la capacità dei serbatoi.

Piaggio Aerospace has delivered two Avanti Evos to European customers, bringing the total shipments of the twin-engined turboprop in 2015 to three aircraft.
WinAir of Germany and an undisclosed customer each took delivery of the seven-seat aircraft in December.
The launch customer, Superior Air of Greece, received the first Evo in April – nearly a year after the programme’s launch.

Si punta al Medio Oriente .....

Piaggio Aerospace is hoping to increase the small inventory of P180 Avantis in use in the Middle East, with the appointment of Al Saif Trading Establishment as sales and marketing agent for the twin-engined turboprop in Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
Al Saif, headquartered in Riyadh, is a subsidiary of real estate and consultancy firm Al Saif Group, which has an order for two Avanti Evos – the latest iteration of the seven-seat type.

Preparativi .....

Piaggio Aerospace is preparing to deliver in early October the very first Avanti Evo to roll off the new production line at its Villanova D’Albenga headquarters.
The twin-pusher (I-PDVS) made its maiden flight at the end of August from the facility, 50 miles (80km) southwest of Genoa,and is now undergoing completion ahead of its handover to an unnamed customer.

The first Avanti Evo to be produced at Piaggio Aerospace’s new manufacturing facility in Villanova D’Albenga, southwest of Genoa, has been handed over to its owner, the Al Saif Group.

Piaggio Aerospace is hailing its first North American order for the P180 Avanti Evo as a “symbolic and industrial milestone”.
The deal for five of the latest version of its twin-pusher turboprop comes as the Italian manufacturer looks to bolster its military activities in the face of several years of stuttering business aviation sales, and three years after the collapse of its biggest Avanti customer, US fractional Avantair.

Occhi puntati sul mercato medio-orientsle .....

Piaggio Aerospace and its local sales agent Al Saif Aviation are out in force at MEBAA to promote the P180 Avanti Evo single-engined turboprop to the region’s VIP and special missions communities.
Al Saif took delivery of its first and the region’s only Evo in October, and is hoping to launch services early next year.
The Riyadh, Saudi Arabia-based company – which is a subsidiary of real estate and consultancy firm Al Saif Group – was appointed by Piaggio in July as its sales agent for Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Iran, Oman and Qatar.

Un fondo sovrano di Abu Dhabi intende vendere il ramo di azienda che produce jet executive di Piaggio Aerospace a un consorzio cinese a sostegno statale e l‘operazione è adesso all‘esame del governo, secondo una fonte vicina alla situazione.
La mossa del fondo Mubadala arriva proprio mentre all‘interno dell‘Unione europea cresce il dibattito su come limitare gli investimenti cinesi in settori ad alta tecnologia specialmente se effettuati da società controllate dallo Stato.
Facendo parte del settore difesa, in cui il governo italiano dispone del golden power, Piaggio Aerospace deve notificare al governo ogni importante operazione di cessione.
Non è chiaro se il governo nutra preoccupazioni rispetto alla prospettiva che l‘ultima generazione del P180 passi in mani cinesi.
Il settore difesa e sicurezza di Piaggio Aerospace costruisce droni per la sorveglianza che condividono la stessa piattaforma del P180.
