Proprio al generale che aveva firmato l'accordo è stato concesso solamente di sedere in un'altra sala, con gli invitati di rango minore e questo ha subito innervosire il comandante delle forze armate dell'emirato Mohammed Khaled Al-Khadher che ha minacciato di far saltare cerimonia e contratto .....

Per come é scritto l'articolo non si capisce bene: il generale kuwaitiano si incacchia perché non è al tavolo con i vips , il primo ministro del Kuwait si vede sbattere la porta in faccia (quindi anche lui è stato rimbalzato?), alla fine chi mangiava con la Pinotti e i generali italiani per caso c'era da mangiare della carne di maiale e si sono arrabbiati anche per questo?

Airbus Defence & Space is installing the Rafael Litening 5 targeting pod on one of its Eurofighter combat aircraft, and will offer the payload option to future clients.
Guy Oren, director of Rafael's electro-optical systems unit, says the Israeli-developed pod is now being installed.
"That will be followed by an operational evaluation," he adds.
The Litening 5 will become fully operational at the end of 2016 and Oren reveals that the system has been already purchased by a European air force.

Non c'è dubbio. Ma in una occasione ufficiale, consentimelo, un po' di attenzione alla forma e all'etichetta verso il cliente non è che guasti. Non v'è ragione di far la figura degli arroganti.

Nuovi guai .....

The German Air Force has temporarily suspended delivery of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets following the discovery of quality problems involving the connection between the vertical stabilizers and the body of the aircraft.
In a notification to the German Bundestag, the Ministry of Defence said that drillings and the removal of burr were not conducted according to specifications.
The Typhoon suffered a similar problem last year when Germany, Italy and Spain all halted deliveries of the jet after a number of drilled bolt holes in a different part of the rear fuselage were identified as having not been de-burred satisfactorily.

Boeing officials say there is some anxiety and frustration over how long it is taking the US government to approve a potential fighter deal with Kuwait.
The Gulf nation is seeking 28 Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornets with options for 12 more, but a sluggish approvals process in Washington, that has more recently been complicated by the Iran nuclear deal, has company executives worried Kuwait could back out and instead complete a purchase of a European alternative: the Eurofighter Typhoon.
“We’re just worried that the delay could cause them to turn to another provider outside the United States,” says Kohler.
“Once they do that, once they sign a contract with Eurofighter, then you lose them for 30 or 40 years. There is a little bit of anxiety.”

In the Gulf region there are a number of fighter requirements that remain to be resolved.
One that is believed to be nearing fruition is that of Kuwait, where both Boeing (F/A-18E/F Super Hornet) and Eurofighter (Typhoon) are awaiting decisions.
In September, an announcement was made that Kuwait had agreed on a deal to purchase 28 Typhoons, with Italy leading the sale on behalf of the four Eurofighter partner nations.
Little has been released about subsequent negotiations, but UK defense procurement minister Philip Dunne said yesterday at the Dubai Airshow that the UK government was, “looking forward to a contract being signed soon.”

We will be extending the life of our multirole Typhoon for 10 extra years through to 2040, meaning we will be able to create 2 additional squadrons.
This will give us a total of frontline 7 squadrons, consisting of around 12 aircraft per squadron.
We will also invest in their ground attack capability and fit them with a new active electronically scanned array radar to ensure they can continue to operate in hostile environments in the future.

Secondo Aerospace Daily & Defense Report (AW&ST) .....

The U.K.’s Eurofighter Typhoon force will be expanded with an additional two front-line squadrons to be formed using the Tranche 1 aircraft that had been due to exit service in 2017.
The exact mix of Tranche 1, 2 and 3 aircraft is yet to be confirmed.
Some reports say 24 aircraft, others say 36 of the 50 or so Tranche 1 jets delivered will be retained.
The Typhoon’s out-of-service date will also be extended from 2030 to 2040.
The U.K. also plans to fit the Tranche 3 Typhoons with the active electronically scanned array radar currently in development.
The Typhoon, along with enhancements to carry air-to-ground weapons, will still replace the Panavia Tornado GR4 in 2019, although the Tornado fleet will not begin to shrink until 2018.

C’è un nuovo slittamento per la firma del contratto per la vendita di 28 cacciabombardieri Eurofighter Typhoon al Kuwait.
È venuta meno l’ipotesi di firmare il 29 novembre il contratto tra Finmeccanica e il Kuwait.
Il premier, Matteo Renzi, sarebbe volato a Kuwait City con l’a.d. di Finmeccanica, Mauro Moretti.
Secondo quanto riferito al Sole 24 Ore da fonti autorevoli, la nuova data ipotizzata per la firma del contratto è a metà dicembre, forse sabato 12 dicembre, ma è tutto da confermare.
Il rinvio sarebbe legato alla complessità degli accordi, che comprendono addestramento dei piloti e infrastrutture civili.
