Servicemen, who will participate in the Moscow Victory Day parade, train almost every day.

The preparations to the training march begin in the barracks.

The uniform must be tidy.

“Every day, for at least four hours, the serviceman do special exercises, strengthening their marching skills,” the captain of the honor guard battalion said.

A comrade’s shoulder is a good training tool, too.

The marching step is strictly regulated at 80 cm. Only the leader can watch the measure during the training march.

Parade participants must achieve automatic marching skills, because there won’t be any markings on Red Square.

There are two Army flags used for the training - one of them substitutes for the Victory Flag the regiment will receive just in time for the parade. Gleb Yefimov from Smolensk, whose grandfather took part in the World War II, has the honor of bearing the Victory Flag this year.

One hundred and twenty soldiers and officers from the honor guard will participate in the Victory Parade. For the moment they march in standard uniforms, but new parade clothing will be made for the holiday.
