First Officer - London Gatwick Base

As Aer Lingus continues to grow and expand we now have a requirement for First Officers as part of our new base at London Gatwick Airport (LGW), which opens in April 2009. This is an exciting opportunity to join an airline with a global brand and reputation and be part of this new Aer Lingus team, right from the beginning.

To be considered for a position as an Aer Lingus First Officer, applicants must be able to meet the following criteria:

Essential Criteria:
JAA-ATPL or CPL (with frozen ATPL)
Current Class 1 Medical
JAA approved MCC Course
Eligible to work in the EU with an unrestricted worldwide passport.
Passed English Language Proficiency Test.
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure.
Possession and demonstration of the key competencies outlined below.
Desirable Criteria:
Applicants who hold a current A320 type-rating or have multi-crew commercial experience will be given priority.
Key Competencies include:
Highly motivated and keen to take responsibility and accountability.
Strong leadership potential with well developed teamwork skills.
Excellent communication skills - fluent in English, spoken and written.
Proven Interpersonal skills.
A broad awareness of our customers' expectations.
Flexible and adaptable with an enthusiastic and positive attitude to change as part of a low fares airline.
