German Typhoons get close up with Mainstay

The German air force seems to have found a new role for its Eurofighter Typhoons, air-to-air photo reconnaissance.
After releasing pictures recently of a Russian air force Antonov An-72, the Luftwaffe has now put out some nice photos of a Russian A-50 Mainstay airborne early warning aircraft it tracked and escorted during the Typhoon's deployment to Lithuania as part of NATO's Baltic air policing mission. Here are a few of the snapshots:
