I Wonder If....

Re: I Wonder If....
Understanding Italian very well is quite different from writing in Italian very well and with all the respect that I have towards italian language, I do consider it's correct to use an international language, instead of writing in incorrect italian.Kitano ha scritto:This is an italian Forum, so you have to use italian language.

Besides, having read terms and conditions of this forum, I didn't find any point regarding the language to be used.
if you have any alternatives, please don't hesitate to advice how one should act in this forum.
Thanks

Well, there is no difficult to land a plane, even if with no power. You have to keep in mind you have not a second try, you are flying with a glider, like the Shuttle. The only difficult could be to be able to arrive to an airport. The more your quote, the more your possibility. For each feet of quote, you get about 15/20 feet on the ground.SimplePassenger ha scritto:let's imagine that it'll fly like a glider or like a plane with 2 broken engines, and how is it going to land???

Re: I Wonder If....
Well, in basic terms the plane flies like a glider. Unfortunately though by having both engines shut off, we have a problem with the hydraulic, pneumatic and electical system of the aicraft, having none of these three systems active due to the lack of power.
In order to have these three vital systems functioning, an eolic generator called Ram Air Turbine is extended and generates electricity from the movement of the wind. Afterwards, the pilot turns on the Auxilliary Power Unit or APU in order to provide hydraulic and pneumatic output; they can now move the control surfaces and wheel brakes.
The plane now tries to land at the nearest airport coming down just like a glider, when runway is in sight the pilot lowers the gear manually via a mechanic system instead of the conventional hydraulics and comes in for a flapless landing. It cannot use reverse thrusters and spoilers so it must brake only with the wheel brakes, needing thus a pretty long runway

ok guys, your answers convinced me and do you think in case there is an emergency in the plane during the flight, are passengers being informed and in which way? Or they stay relaxed, sleeping or reading while the plane is losing pieces on the way
looking forward your creative answers!

The passenger are always informed from the captain if there is a problem. Maybe he doesn't explain the problem, but for sure he will try to explain the situation (due to a problem with an instrument, we have to go back to the airport, we have to divert on an other airport, and so on)
