Meridiana sembra che presto sostituirà tutti i suoi 17 MD80 con Airbus A320.
Dopo aver scelto l'Airbus A319 per sostituire il BAe 146, quindi, la scelta di Meridiana è caduta su Airbus piuttosto che su Boeing con i suoi 717.
Per essere precisi, sembra che vi siano in ballo 4 Airbus A319 ex Sabena e 17 Airubs A320.
