The cockpit of the Airbus A320 was reportedly left unmanned during the scuffle and at one point a pilot allegedly threatened to land Flight IC-844, from the United Arab Emirates to Delhi, in Pakistan, which it was flying over. According to Indian media reports, crew members threw punches and hurled abuse at each other in full view of 106 passengers.

• There was alarm on a Saudi Arabian Airlines flight in 2006 when passengers noticed rats roaming the cabin. They had been smuggled aboard in a passenger’s hand luggage. He was arrested when the flight landed
• Alexander Cheplevsky, an Aeroflot pilot, sparked panic on an aircraft waiting to take off from Moscow for New York in February, when his slurred and garbled speech made passengers think that he was drunk. A crew member tried to reassure them by announcing that it was “not such a big deal” if the pilot was drunk because the aircraft practically flew itself. A replacement flight crew was eventually called in
• On a holiday flight from Greece last year two British women attacked cabin staff with a vodka bottle and fought to open the emergency exit, one screaming: “I want some fresh air.” The aircraft made an emergency diversion to Germany, where armed police arrested the women, aged 26 and 27, to cheers from the other travellers
Nothing is over until we decide it is!
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!
