Lufthansa receives top awards from travel magazine readers in 2009 surveys
Voted “Best Trans-Atlantic Airline,” “Best Trans-Atlantic Business-Class Service,” “Best Airline in Western Europe”
East Meadow, NY, December 11, 2009 – Travelers across North America have again acknowledged Lufthansa’s high-quality service as best in its class. The readers of Global Traveler magazine named Lufthansa “Best Trans-Atlantic Airline” in their annual GT Tested Awards, while the airline took top honors among Business Traveler magazine’s Best in Business Travel Awards, receiving various accolades including “Best Trans-Atlantic Business-Class Service” and “Best Airline in Western Europe.” Earlier this year, Lufthansa was named “Best Airline for Flights to Eastern Europe” by the readers of Executive Travel Magazine in the publication’s annual Leading Edge Awards, honoring travel companies that best demonstrate leadership, service and vision.

In its sixth year, the GT Tested Awards are based on a survey conducted for the magazine’s readership to identify the best in luxury and business travel. In their 21st, year, Business Traveler’s Best in Business Travel Awards reveal the best of the best in the travel industry, based on an annual survey of their readership. BT readers also gave Lufthansa second place honors for “Best Airline for International Travel.” Both the Global Traveler – GT Tested Awards and the Business Traveler – Best in Business Travel
Awards are considered the most comprehensive and recognized award programs in their respective niche.
