Esatto. Tutte le fonti sulla rete concordano sulla failure al propulsore, nonostante inizialmente ci sia stato un sospetto di bird strike.

ASN ha aggiornato la sua descrizione: "Initially, a bird strike to the engine was suspected, however, it is excluded by the inspection after landing since there were no trace of feathers nor blood of a bird in the engine. All of the 5th stage low-pressure turbine blades and 6th stage (most rear) ones were broken, bent or damaged, while the fan blades were undamaged. The left wing and pylon also suffered partial damage by debris. The troubled engine was attached to the plane on February 2014, and has used for 16289 flight hours".
